Too many times we have thrown away items that we thought had lost their value.  Sometimes, however, that which we consider as "junk" is indeed considered by others as "treasure".

Take for instance, if you will, the "free" glassware that once was included in a box of Oatmeal.  As an incentive to buy their product, some companies included inexpensive glassware in every box.  They also gave the public an opportunity to purchase additional pieces.  A complete 12 place setting might cost the unheard of price of $50.00.  In today's market, those same pieces (now called Depression Glass) are almost impossible to find in pristine condition.  And it is not unheard of to pay as much as $500 for one particular piece!
